Victoria A. Valentine is a partner at Valentine & Associates, P.C.  Since joining the firm in 1998, Ms. Valentine has focused on representing sales agents (both independent and in-house direct employees), brokers and distributors.  She specializes in contract negotiation, employment law, and litigation to recover commissions.  She also has experience in matters involving real estate and wrongful death, as well as general business law issues.  Ms. Valentine is earning a distinguished reputation and has recently been named as a Rising Star by the Michigan Super Lawyers.

Ms. Valentine has appeared in both state and federal courts, including the Michigan Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  She has also appeared in other tribunals, including the American Arbitration Association (AAA), private arbitration and international arbitration through the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Ms. Valentine is a case evaluator in the Third Judicial Circuit Court of Michigan (Wayne County) and the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Michigan (Oakland County).  She is an Early Intervention Facilitator and Discovery Master in the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Michigan and a District Court Evaluator for Oakland County, Michigan.  She is a member of the Institute of Transnational Arbitration (ITA) and serves on its Advisory Board.

Ms. Valentine has had numerous speaking engagements, including for the State Bar of Michigan's "Women in Practice-Problems and Solutions" Conference, the Oakland County Bar Association, Introduction to Practice, Michigan State University School of Law, Women in the Law:  removing Barriers to Success, the Manufacturers' Agents National Association (MANA) Attorney Forums from 2004-2006 and the Rep Law Seminars facilitated by Valentine & Associates in 2000, 2003, 2004 and 2007.  She has also had articles published in the MANA publication, Agency Sales Magazine, the Society of Manufacturers' Representative (SMR) Newsletter and the Michigan Bar Journal.

Ms. Valentine is a member of the Junior League of Birmingham (JLB); Chair of the United Way/JLB Governor's Honor Roll (2005) and was the recipient of the JLB Phenomenal Women Award in 2004.  She is also the Chairperson of the Oversight Committee of the Pontiac Alumni Foundation, which is an educational foundation that seeks to improve education, with focus on literacy, for children in the Pontiac School District.
